| Regardless of the time of year of your visit, the house is
well equipped. In the heat of the summer, shutters keep the house cool during
the day. For those spring and fall evenings, electric heaters in each room,
as well as a magnificent central fireplace, add warmth and ambience to your stay.
| Sneak in a quiet moment to read, or reflect on your day’s
adventures. The loft, just above the living room area provides an alternate
space for relaxation.
| The living room area has large French doors leading to the
outdoor terrace. The ceramic tile floors keep the house cool in the summer,
but for comfort remember to bring a pair of light slippers.
Adjoining the living room is the dining area, with its large
solid oak dining table and sideboard. Fully equipped with table linens,
dishes and cutlery for people who love to dine, the French way. Whether you
bring dinner from the market, or put your culinary talents to use in the
kitchen, celebrate around this table.

Here is a picture of the dining room table set for Christmas lunch, 2007.
We enjoyed a fantastic long lunch with a great group of people.
| Pass through the French doors through either the living or
dining rooms, and find yourself on our south-facing terrace. Built in the
Provencal style, to protect the house from the heat of the sun, this becomes
your summer long open air eating space. Summer sunsets at 10:00 PM make outdoor
eating the only way to go. Perhaps you’ll want to put your barbeque skills to
use in our outdoor barbeque house. Any way you choose, it’s where you’ll
find yourself at day’s end.

The view from the master bedroom takes in the quiet of the side yard.
The property, made very private by a cedar hedge, allows you to make this your home
away from home.
We re-decorated the master bedroom earlier this year.
The provencal palette is warm. Imagine waking up here.
| Look back at the house from the side yard, and understand
just how sheltered the house is.
| We love to cook, so we’ve equipped the kitchen to make this
happen. A dishwasher, combination gas and electric cooking surface, an
electric oven with convection and rotisserie functions, all serve to make
cooking a joy.

The fact that the fridge is on the small size will encourage you to get out
and shop every couple of days to buy fresh, and of course you need to keep
some free space to chill white, rose and beer! (You didn't know France has
great beers? Some of the best in the World!)
| People tell us that one of the great joys of mornings here
is seeing the sunrise from the kitchen windows.
| The village with a population of 620 has a patisserie, a
small epicerie , a tabac, a wine co-operative, a pizza parlour open on
weekends and a café open all week. It also hosts a hairdresser that opens
shop a couple of times a week. Situated between
Bagnols sur Ceze (12 km) and Uzes (15 km), you’re only 40 minutes from
major tourist attractions; Chateauneuf du Pape, Nimes, or Avignon.
