Where is it?
Villa le Debut is located in a small village a short drive from Avignon in Gard Départment in Provence, southern France. Within the village are a church, a pastry shop, a grocery store and a Tabac. More comprehensive services are available at Bagnols sur Ceze, ten minutes away, or in Avignon.
How do we get there?
Air - From North America use your favorite transatlantic carrier to London or Paris, then change planes for Marseilles. While smaller cities such as Avignon and Nimes have airports, scheduled flights may be few and inconvenient. At Marseilles airport there are car rental facilities. The drive to the Villa takes about an hour and a half.
TGV - As an alternative to changing planes, fly into Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris and
take the high-speed TGV (train à grande vitesse) train direct from the airport
to Avignon - now about 3 hours. The station there also has car rental facilities.
Luggage space is somewhat limited on the trains, and while there are porters, relying on
them may cause delays - we suggest you should be travelling lightly to use the train.
